Why should I use a broker?

A broker has many contacts within the industry and works with many reputable companies who may have special routes or special pricing. With a particular carrier, you are limited to that company and you will often receive biased information on their services. A good broker can provide you with an upstanding carrier that will not only take care of your household goods and/or vehicle, but provide you efficient service.

Can you arrange door to door service for my transport?

Door to door service means that the transport carrier will pick up and make delivery of your household goods and/or vehicle as close to your designated locations as possible. Because of the size of the semi tractor-trailer trucks, please keep in mind that certain roads, bridges, overhangs, etc. may make door to door delivery impossible. But we will get as close to you as possible. 

How soon can you pickup my transport?

 Typically we can arrange for pickup of your vehicle within 1-3 days. 

How long does transport take?

It all depends on how far your move is being transported, size of load, the schedule of the particular carrier, and the weather, of course. 

  • East Coast to West Coast: Takes approximately 7-16 days
  • Midwest to East Coast: Takes approximately 5-7 days
  • North to South: Takes approximately 3-5 days

*Please Note: By state laws driver's have up to 21 business days to delivery household goods or personal property.

What should I do if I notice damage upon delivery?

Any damage should be noted upon delivery on your bill of lading and acknowledged by the driver. Call Avon Moving And Storage LLC immediately or within 24 hours, and we will assist you in any information you may need. Do note, however, that you must file your insurance claim directly with the designated carrier. Avon Moving and Storage LLC cannot do that for you.  

What forms of payment do you accept?

Avon Moving and Storage LLC accepts payment via debit cards, all major credit cards, check by phone, Quick pay, Cash app, vemmo, and PayPal. Upon delivery, we require a cashier’s check, money order, or cash that is paid directly to the driver
